Top Seven Ways to Meditation Success

Nowadays there are so many things that scream for our attention. We need to make time for our families, work, friends, and hobbies. We have all sorts of gadgets calling for us to pay attention to them: phones, computers, televisions, i-pods, blackberries. It seems there is always something on, something to do or something to entertain us, but many times we just want and need quiet time. As much as human beings have a need to move and do, they need to balance that with a need to slow down and re-energize. We all have a physical, spiritual and mental need and desire to slow down and quiet down to find peace and re-charge. This is the only way we can keep going, especially at the super sonic speed that our lives go these days.

Mediation can help us quiet our inner selves and reach a point of peace. By reaching that inner peace, we can refill our inner wells with new energy and passion to go on living. Here are seven ways that you can use meditation to reach this inner peace.

1. Silence Your Unconscious
The main objective of meditating is to relax and silence our thoughts. Our minds are always working, consciously and unconsciously, but we can try to make the main focus to stop thinking just for a little while and enjoy the serenity of standing still and not thinking anything. Our thoughts can many times drive us crazy even if we are physically still, so learning to stop our thoughts and enjoying a quiet mind is the main goal of meditating.

2. Mindful Focus
Since our minds can continue working even if our physical bodies are in a relaxed state, we need to focus on quieting our inner thoughts. This doesn’t come naturally and that is why it is important for you to focus on not thinking and just relaxing your mind as you do your body. Mediation should be focus and end result.

3. Quiet Place
Before we can reach a state of relaxation and inner peace, we need to relax our bodies. Having a quiet place, where you feel happy and relaxed would be the most efficient way to enjoy the benefits of meditation.

4. Desired Need
We consider meditation because we all have a need to slow down and relax. We need to balance the need to move with the need to rest. We all need to sleep and be awake in order to function. The same is true of our minds and inner selves. We have a need to reach for a peaceful state. We all desire peace and harmony, and mediation is a great way to achieve that inner peace we all need and desire.

5. Endurance and Determination
Be aware that in order to reach that state of inner peace, you need to work at. The more you engage in meditation the closer you’ll get to reaching serenity. Even experiencing true relaxation takes practice and commitment to making it happen.

6. Use Your Soul
Sometimes even we have a quiet place and the determination to slow down and silence our thoughts, we still need to visualize something that can get us started. I recommend you focus on your human heart. When you begin to breathe, think of your heart. Think how it is regulating your body and keeping alive. Then, you can think about your spiritual heart and all the love you want cultivate.

7. Joyous Feeling
Remember that we meditate to find peace and slow down our crazy lives. One of the main benefits of meditation is that you’ll feel calmer, happier and more peaceful. You’ll feel that have balance in your life. As a result, when we feel happier, our whole outlook in life becomes more positive and joyful.
