Whole grain bread contains a wealth of fiber, vitamins and minerals which lies in stark contrast to that of white bread that is over processed and contains the nutritional value similar to that of sugar. The high fiber will as mentioned above with the oats will aid the digestive system to move the food easily through the body and will hinder toxins from developing. Foods with a low GI such as whole grain bread, will digest gradually and slowly so that energy from the food will release evenly and gradually into the body.
