Using Your Mind: An Alternative Weight Loss Method

I recently saw this headline “An Incredible New Weight Loss Product – Your Brain!”

It caught my attention so I figured I would comment on it. I am sure this would not work for everyone, but some say that subliminal messaging to your brain as you fall asleep really does work. In this case, repeating your ideal weight to your self as you enter dreamland is supposed to be effective.

This concept was first introduced to one person by a New Thought teacher many years ago. The idea is to think of a saying such as …”I will reach my weight loss goal of 132…” for example over and over again.

Does this actually work? I don’t know myself as I have never tried it. However, the person who has claims it does. This person also says, “I am healthy, trim, fit and look 20 years younger than my years.”

The person who tried this diet also mentions coming from a “fat” family. So, this advice is meant for those who have been chronically obese all their lives.

However, of course one word of caution regarding this is that this subliminal mind training tool does not replace regular diet. It also does not eliminate the need to exercise on a regular basis.

There is quite a bit more to the story than this, but basically it is repeating positive thoughts regarding your ideal weight to your self. Another takeoff of this is perhaps playing tapes of positive messages while you are sleeping.
