Is the Chocolate Diet Just a Farce?

It is amazing what they think of nowadays. Anyone who wants to lose weight the easy way would probably be attracted to a diet like this. Okay, so before I get carried away judging a type of diet I know nothing about I will explain to you the advantages and disadvantages of a diet like this.

Pros

A moderate amount of chocolate-especially dark chocolate (approximately 50% to 70% cocoa) is actually quite beneficial to you health wise. Cocoa used to make chocolate is filled with a high amount of antioxidants which can help built up your immune system and also can keep you from being sick.

Furthermore, eating a small amount of chocolate can actually help keep your blood pressure down. As a result, it can help reduce risk of heart disease and other serious cardio vascular problems.

Cons

There is no clear indication that using chocolate shakes and other diet products can help speed up your metabolism-or at least not on its own. You need to remember to exercise regularly and eat other foods that promote good health, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables that are higher in fiber.

Furthermore, many chocolate products that are sold nowadays contain quite a bit of fat and calories. On the other hand, there are certain products geared towards people wanting to lose weight. Nonetheless, you need to be careful when relying upon a diet such as this.
