The Problems School Children With Obesity Phase

School-age children with obesity phase many problems, both physically and mentally.  These children’s problems will only increase with time. So we have to solve this obesity problem of children otherwise our future generations would be spoiled. Obesity is defined as being in the 95th percent in body mass index (BMI), and a child is considered overweight if he is in the 85th percent of BMI.

Also a rise in a diabetes is shown by the child obesity graphs which is a very frightening fact/ Also children suffer from wear and tear of joints and bones due to their excess weight. Problems caused due to obesity are cardiovascular diseases caused due to accumulation of fat in arteries.  The accumulation of fat proves to be a block for blood circulation and heart has to pump blood with a greater force, which increases the risk of heart attack. Moderate exercise can also make you active and reduces risk of heart diseases These childhood problems can only lead to greater and more serious health issues in adulthood, it obesity is not addressed soon in regards to kids.

The physical problems are commonly known although the seriousness of the problems is not really understood.  The more fat cells that are developed in the human body, the harder it is to control weight..

Fat cells, once developed, are not lost but merely decrease in size.  Fat cells develop in a child very easily due to the body’s survival instinct. The human body has since become conditioned to prepare for times of famine.  School-age children who are obese will have a much harder time with weight issues as they reach adulthood.

School-age children with obesity are well prepared for famine. The problem with this is that we are not likely to face famines as we have in the past and these children will be unable to lose weight.  These children will face health issues over time that will be life threatening and will probably cause a shorter lifespan.

Mental Issues For School Children With Obesity

School children make fun of people who are not normal. People always make jokes on them because of their weight problems.  Some of them have great difficulty making friends and relating to the other children in their schools. These children often suffer from low self-esteem. As a result these children are isolated and develop severe depression. A child suffering from obesity often has many more troubles because of their weight and low self-esteem.  Some of these children suffer from depression and loneliness.

While adults need to be concerned with helping the children to lose weight and live healthy lives, the children may need to have counseling for the mental health issues that can be long lasting.  School-age children with obesity need to have the support of adults to lose weight and to have a good self-esteem.

Summary: The other children in school need to be taught to accept others. School-age children can learn from both situations, which can in turn help them to become more successful adults.  When a child is in school, obese children and self-esteem becomes a big worry because children don’t normally like the way that they look, and there are many things that might happen to a child that might be harmful to their present body structure and how they feel.
