A Child Suffering from Obesity Faces severe problems

Childhood obesity has grown to epidemic proportions according to the available statistics.  The child suffering from obesity is grossly overweight in many circumstances.  These children suffering from obesity face a very miserable future.  The child suffering from obesity also suffers from a poor diet and a inactive lifestyle.  These two things are the causes of childhood obesity.  These children are physical inactive because they are overweight.  The less they move about, the heavier they get.  As they get heavier, their chances of contradicting  serious diseases increase substantially.

These children suffer from poor nutrition in most cases.  These children eat fast foods a considerable amount of the time.  The children eat these fatty foods that contribute to their obesity.    Most of these children eat fatty foods at home, and then they end up eating similar foods when they go home. The foods contain many empty calories when they stick to a diet full of fast foods.  On the other hand, the children do not get important vitamins and minerals in their daily diet.  They often ignore fruits and vegetables that contain the nutrition important to their health.

Complications caused due to obesity are high cholesterol, high blood pressure, kidney failure, as well as an increased risk of stroke and heart attacks.  Health problems, which used to be reserved for the adults are now becoming childhood illnesses.

A Child Suffering from Obesity becomes inactive

A child suffering from obesity probably does not get enough physical activity.  Many of these children spend a substantial portion of their time sitting in school, in front of their computers and in front of their television sets.  These children consume the empty calories, and then they do nothing to burn off these calories.  The schools have eliminated many of the physical activities from their schedules.  These schools are put under pressure to have the students score high on standardized tests so the administrators increase the time spent inside the classroom. Adults providing good examples of healthy lifestyles can be the best way for children to learn. If you have bad eating habits, your children will also follow your bad habits. If you have good eating habits, your children will also follow your good habits. So unless you change yourselves, to expect your children to change is not right.

A child suffering from obesity has problems in mobility.  Their lives are very painful because of the excess weight that they carry around constantly.  People always make jokes on them because of their weight problems.  Some of them have great difficulty making friends and relating to the other children in their schools. These children often suffer from low self-esteem. As a result these children are isolated and develop severe depression. A child suffering from obesity often has many more troubles because of their weight and low self-esteem.  Some of these children suffer from depression and loneliness.  Many officials and film personalities have discussed childhood obesity, and these people have made false promises to take action.  Unfortunately, the support programs have not taken off to help these children.

Summary: Some of the childhood obesity grants are restricted to medical fields.  These grants are structured to assist those with medical expertise. Some of these grants are there to focus on nutritional value while some of them focus on physical activity and sports for students.
