Gastric Bypass DietGastric Bypass surgery is the surgery that helps alleviate the condition of patients who are suffering from gastro-entities. Regular and time to time consumption of food is very important as otherwise it may lead to the formation of gas and lead to severe acidity. The stomach should not be left empty but at the same time one should not over eat and stuff the stomach excessively. The gastric bypass diet requires a person to eat meals at regular intervals, also the meals should not be very heavy and should comprise of the food that can be easily digested. Foods which have large count of fatty acids are a strict no for such patients. The doctors prescribe the multi vitamin tablets to the patients, and the supplements that are rich in iron. The Vitamin B12 is also considered for the course of medication and is prescribed by the doctor. The diet is broken down into defend levels, and as a person recovers the meal is changed. Initially the patient is asked to take only liquid. After a few days he is asked to take soft digestible food. Gradually the regular food is reached. The growth is gradual as is dependent on the recovery process of each patient. During the first two days after operation the patient is required to consume only liquid diet. The liquid diet may comprise of juices and soups. From the third day onwards the patient is asked to eat a semi solid food. |
