The best way to control your hunger is to eat 3 meals a day or 4 small meals. Make sure you have breakfast, even if you arent a breakfast person- it doesnt have to be much- I recommend a piece of fruit like a banana or apple. Now getting to lunchtime shouldnt be too difficult. By 1 o clock you will be ready for 2 sandwiches or a salad. Do not have chocolate bars instead of proper food, it will raise your blood sugar so you arent hungry but will drop in about 1 and a half hours a big amount so you will feel starving. The reason for eating a sensible lunch and breakfast is because people who tend to not be able to control eating usually think that skipping 2 meals and having a huge pigout at the end of the day will make you lose weight. It won't. If you start to become hungry at any time between these meals before your evening dinner, drink 2 glasses of water. This will expand your stomach and make you feel less hungry. Do not chew bubble gum, this will increase your stomach acid and make you even more hungrier. Now have a sensible dinner, thats all you need to do. The best way to control your hunger is by drinking water when you feel hungry, if you see a food advert/ programme on TV immediately switch the channel, also in your home make sure you put food away and do not leave any around, you will inevitably pick up and titbit eat. Only eat at meal times- not inbetween. You shouldnt feel hungry in between. I believe you are not being able to control eating because you are eating the wrong foods. If you eat fast food, this will not fill you up. Wholemeal bread, brown rice,pasta, potatos , noodles are a good source of carbohydrates (basically the protein your body needs to stop feeling hungry). If you eat at meal times something good and nutritious you will be able to control your hunger. Take up a hobby so you arent thinking about food all the time. Sbyrne, I agree with you. Fast food will not make you full. Rather one must depend on the nutritious food like vegetables, milk, curd, whole wheat bread, cereals and a lot of fresh fruits. Fast food only serves the tongue twisters but make you hungry again. If you have complex food like cereals or high fiber foods then you will not feel hungry again and again. This way by eating right you can keep yourself fit. Have control on your senses and you will gain control over your weight automatically.
