HGH Therapy

HGH stands for Human Growth Hormone and is a naturally-occurring function of our brain. Synthetic forms of this substance are now administered in prescription and non-prescription forms. These products as well as related GH precursors and enhancers provide a variety of benefits to users.

Overview

HGH Therapy has been researched for over 50 years. It first became widely accepted in the medial world as a prescribed treatment for a variety of conditions such as Human Growth Hormone Deficiency, Turner's syndrome,  or Chronic renal insufficiency.

The FDA had approved treatment in injection form for these diseases as well as a handful of other ones including Prader-Willi Syndrome, Height Deficit, or Cachexia. This particular treatment has been approved for uses Intrauterine growth retardation cases as well.

The decision to implement HGH therapy in the above-mentioned cases was made in 1985. Further measures are being taken to be able to allow similar or same strengths to be sold over the counter in forms alternative to injection.

In the mean time, diluted or less mild versions of the HGH formula are being sold as homeopathic remedies. Along with that, the GH precursors and enhancers sold are amino acid-based products intended to increase natural Human Growth Hormone functioning.

Options of HGH Treatment

Several options of HGH treatment are made available in different parts of the world. These include the injections that are administered by medical professionals as well as those sold in stores or ordered by customers online.

The production and sale of prescription Human Growth Hormone or of HGH sold as a dietary supplement only legal if a medical condition is present that requires treatment (only those medical conditions determined by the FDA as treatable by prescription.) However, GH enhancers, precursers, and other products are sold as formulas to help increase the natural production of this very necessary bodily substance.

Certain non-prescription products intended to be sold as HGH therapy products are often sold under another category-homeopathic medicines. The classification of “homeopathic” is determined by three aspects:

      1. They are “safe and effective"
      2. They must be "prepared according to specifications of the General Pharmacy and relevant sections of the HPUS"
      3. “Submitted documentation must be in an approved format as set forth in the relevant sections of the HPUS and must include any data relevant to toxicity."
The above three aspects of determining whether or not a product is of homeopathic quality are guidelines set by the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS). Skin creams and mild forms of GH therapy products often successfully are marketed under this category.
