The increase in the number of gyms is the effect of business of movies is sarcasm. The industry of gyms is very popular and there is great influence of movies of Hollywood on growth of gyms. The credit of growth of gyms industry does not go to movies alone. The main reason behind the increase in number of gyms is the craze among people for becoming fit. These days most of the people wish to remain fit and healthy. They consider it essential overall growth of personality.

The Early period of Opening of Gyms

It is very perplexing to find the origin of gyms. A great number of gyms are available in America in spite of and problems and hurdles. The concept of weight lifting has always been derided in American Culture before 1980. While it would seem peculiar there was not much emphasis on fitness and health in the beginning of establishment of health gyms.

Just for example, Arnold Schwarzenegger was very popular bodybuilder in the world in the beginning of 1970’s. If you see his emergence on the 1979 police play ’The Streets of San Fransico’, he is presented as a sluggish beast with imperfect intellect….only as he does weightlifting. It is useless to say, the idea of advertising weightlifting to the public was hard and the expansion of health and fitness gyms became restricted.

Popularity of fitness and health gyms through film ‘The Barbarian’

The future of Arnold’s would transform in the year 1982 when he played the leading role in the trendy classic film ‘Conan the Barbarian’. This was the launch pad movie which made Arnold chief box office magnet and this magnetism was, in great way, the outcome of his bodybuilder figure. The success achieved by Arnold for his body building physique inspired many actors to develop their physique like him. Many actors start joining gyms for developing their body.

During the same time period Sylvester Stallone, most remarkably, packed with heavy muscle mass appeared in movies during the same period of time. He also attained popularity like Arnold. More and more Hollywood actors started making efforts for developing muscles of their body to maintain good physique.

The people started screaming for a fitness program that would offer them same type of look. This kind of look can not be acquired only through regular balanced diet and fitness exercises. The use of heavy weights was very important for getting success. As a result of this practice many health and fitness gyms started opening all over America. The ordinary people also became conscious about their health and fitness. People also started thinking about developing their body ion a good shape.

These days’ people take the opening of health and fitness gyms very normally as there are great number of gyms in America. The opening of large number of health and gyms should not be taken for granted and you should try to make best use of these health and fitness gyms. You should even neglect the contribution of film industry in the increase of number of gyms in America.

There is great relevance of gyms in lives of people. People can maintain their health and fitness by paying regular visit to gyms. They can find various types of equipments in gyms to maintain the good shape of their body. They can also find experts such as diet expert, weightlifting expert in gyms to take guidance while doing exercise.
