Obesity Prevention

Obesity can be prevented in any ways and the best time to start prevention is form a young age, you can help your children to stay away from fatty foods and unhealthy lives even if it is too late for you. If you prevent obesity you are also preventing medical conditions such as chronic diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease and cancers! Preventing obesity is one of the main things that we need to focus on with obesity being the world biggest health epidemic at the moment! Obesity is on the rise and with obesity comes a lot more health problems, things like arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, poor eyesight, high cholesterol, blocked arteries, and many more. Many people are loosing out on exercise and children are suffering the most.

Low fat foods tend not to work. Most people when they do their shopping tend to pick up the item with 25% less fat written on it when is probably twice as expensive and wont work. These low fat foods are higher in sugar, salt and carbohydrates which mean’s that you are storing these nutrients instead of fat. Salt is bad for because it clogs up your arteries and can lead to heart attacks and we all know why sugar is bad for you! Obesity can be prevented by consuming a varied diet and getting plenty of exercise. Low carbohydrate diet programmes also don’t give off the desired effect as this is just another form of starvation and the body then starts to get unwell.
