Introduction:-

The Pilates circle is by far my favorite Pilates equipment accessory. I use it to intensify a workout and add variety to my routine. Known also as a fitness circle, or as the Magic Circle, a ring can put added spice into your present routine.

The Pilate circle is a ring, usually made of flexible metal or rubber, about thirteen inches in diameter, with small pads on either side.

This simple accessory item is a favourite because it is fun to use and doesn’t require a great deal of coordination. It’s also versatile in adding resistance to whatever body part you wish to tone. It comes in various sizes, anywhere from 10 to 14 inches, and various resistances.

Pilates Circles are becoming very popular throughout the fitness world. They are. While buying an exercise ring is not a huge expenditure, the prices range from $20.00 to $75.00, you do want to get one that will work for your needs.

History:

The Pilates circle was invented by Joseph Pilates himself. It is a circle a little over a foot in diameter with two grips located on opposite sides. Once an exerciser is past the beginner stage, he can use the circle to maintain the distance between arms or legs during a movement. Today, the Pilates circle is made of modern materials for better grip and ease of use. It is still used in the way that Joseph Pilates used it so many years ago.

Why Pilate Circle is used?

The Pilate circle is provides gentle to moderate resistance in an exercise. They also give the body feedback as to where it is in space and which muscles are being used. It can be used to tone inner thighs, buttocks, arms and abdominals.

The circle is used for the same purpose as most of the movements: to increase core (torso) strength, fluidity, stamina, balance, good breathing and flexibility. The main goal of Pilates is to unify the mind and body in order to bring the body under the full control of the mind.
