Advocare ThermoPlus

Does Advocare ThermoPlus Really Work?

Advocare ThermoPlusIn the past, I’ve seen some Advocare products that I was actually impressed with, at least at first. These products, some of which use clinically proven ingredients and blends that rival the best competitors. But there is one major downfall to which all Advocare products seem to fall prey. For some reason, every Advocare product lists only the “active ingredients”, and there are no customer reviews for any major Advocare product, including Advocare ThermoPlus. The only difference is that Advocare ThermoPlus does not look exceptional, even at first glance.

Key Ingredients Used

Sage extract – Sage has been referred to as salvia, a common drug. It has been used to alleviate pain and sore throats. But nowhere in this description will you find “amazing fat burning” or even “mild appetite suppression.”

Oolong tea extract – Oolong tea has been used to burn fat, and it has been known for its tea related antioxidant benefits. But it requires about 400mg, and it can still cause some caffeine based side effects.

Guarana extract – Guarana is mostly known for its ability to enhance energy levels, and it is called the caffeine free energy supplement. But there’s no weight loss.

Thiamine – This is nothing but a B vitamin. Yes, it’s essential to the function of the body. But no, it does not promote weight loss.

Niacin – B vitamins have been known to enhance energy, and niacin has been known to cause flushing for some. But it’s no fat burner or weight loss supplement of any kind.

Conclusion

Advocare ThermoPlus is far from being a popular product. Most consumers have never actually heard of it. And while I have seen some Advocare ThermoPlus products that use unusual and powerful ingredients, Advocare ThermoPlus is just Advocare’s version of a glorified caffeine pill that is too weak to actually burn fat.

Advocare Slim

Does Advocare Slim Really Work?

Advocare SlimAdvocare Slim is described as a “vitamin and herbal supplement” with ingredients that support appetite suppression and fat burning while fighting occasional drowsiness. This doesn’t sound half bad, right? The sales sites post studies, charts, the works, and certainly more than most competitors offer! At first glance, I’d say that Advocare Slim is worth checking out. But keep reading to find out what the formula really does.

Key Ingredients Used

Thiamine – A B vitamin, this is found in just about every diet pill as a complementary base ingredient. But would I consider it an active ingredient? Not for a second! To me, this says that this product may not have clinically proven weight loss ingredients. After all, if you did, why in the world would a company focus on B vitamins?

Biotin – Look above. This is just another B vitamin, and my personal evaluation of its use as an “active” ingredient remains the same.

Chromium – I am conflicted on this ingredient. Yes, it’s a natural mineral found in literally EVERY diet pill, and most don’t consider it an “active” ingredient. But chromium (unlike B vitamins), can contribute to positive weight loss results.

Green coffee extract Svetol – An active component of green coffee bean, Svetol has undergone some pretty extensive weight loss based clinical studies. Coffee is one of the most commonly consumed beverages in the world, and it seems to significantly reduce BMI.

Garcinia cambogia fruit extract – This is one of my favorite ingredients, and yet it’s one of the most complicated. On one hand, it shows some pretty substantial weight loss and fat burning results without using any caffeine. The problem is that it requires a whopping 1500mg! I’ve seen 1, maybe 2 products use that amount, which is discouraging.

Super Citrimax – A patented fat burner, this is also entirely stimulant free! It requires pretty substantial doses, over 1000mg in fact. But if you get the right amounts, it can contribute to substantial and effective weight loss supplements that really stand out in a crowd.

Taurine – A natural amino acid, this is not a frontline ingredient. But it’s still important and I would even say essential. Amino acids like taurine feed the muscles, and amino acids prevent breakdown during longer workouts. This can in turn enhance and maintain healthy metabolism and give your body a more toned look.

Caffeine – One of the most common fat burners, I’ll admit, it has been associated with some pretty mild side effects that can be more serious for people with heart problems or caffeine sensitivities. But it is also one of the most extensively studied (not to mention proven) ingredients in the weight loss field.

Inositol – This is considered to be an essential nutrient. But I struggle to see how it relates to weight loss.

Conclusion

Advocare Slim looks good, and there are good things to be said about it. I do take issue with the fact that some of the ingredients are hidden and Advocare Slim does not disclose the amounts used. In fact, I sincerely doubt that Advocare Slim uses enough garcinia cambogia, because nobody really uses 1500mg. So it’s not just Advocare Slim. But I have some pretty important questions that need answering before I could consider wholeheartedly recommending Advocare Slim.

Neopil Plus

Does Neopil Plus Really Work?

“Stronger and more powerful!” We certainly hope so. The original Neopil was not particularly impressive. But it sounds like just another way to rip you off. Why? Because Neopil doesn’t work, and it is suggested that you should only take Neopil Plus if you have already used 3 bottles of Neopil Caps! Why would you want to spend $150 on a product that doesn’t work and then spend another $55 on something that may or may not be the same thing! But to be fair, let’s take a look and see if Neopil Plus is actually better than the original.

Key Ingredients Used

Lima root – More commonly called lime root, this is rich in healthy vitamins and antioxidants. But it has nothing to do with weight loss.

Root Tejocote – A common Mexican fruit that cannot be imported into the United States due to a high risk of crop killing parasites, this is now grown in California. It has been compared to the common crabapple, and it is rich in healthy nutrients, antioxidants, and fibers. But it has not been associated with weight loss results.

Malabar road pinguica – A natural plant known for its antimicrobial properties in traditional Mexican medicine, this does not promote fat burning, appetite suppression, or any other kind of weight loss.

Lemon grass – Said to have anti-cancer properties, this has never been proven through in vitro human studies. It has also been said to reduce anxiety, but again only in animal studies.

Tlaichamin – We have searched for this ingredient, and so far there is no information about it. It seems that Tlaichamin does not exist.

Conclusion

Neopil Plus makes bold claims about amazing results. It is meant to be a more powerful follow-up to a product that we can safely say could not help anyone to lose weight, and just like the original, Neopil Plus is devoid of any clinically proven weight loss ingredients. Whatever you believe about traditional medicine and Mexican herbs, Tlaichamin is simply not what we would hope for.

Neopil Caps

Does Neopil Caps Really Work?

I first stumbled upon Neopil Caps about a month ago, and although I’ve never really reviewed “Mexican diet pills,” I wondered, what’s the difference? Some of the diet pills manufactured in Mexico may not be as popular as some of the top-selling products, but I love the little hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Mexico, so why not their diet pills? Yes, I know, a month is a long time to review a single product. But finding information on Neopil wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be, and I was hoping to find more. I still haven’t found a lot, but keep reading to find out what to expect from these mysterious diet pills.

Neopil Caps sell primarily in Latin America, and the main function is supposedly to target fat, cellulite, and everything else under the sun. It has been called the “healthy” way to lose weight, and so far, it’s really the only diet pill I’ve seen that combines traditional Mexican herbs with Mexican Fruit Juice Extracts. It’s obviously breaking new ground, and it sounds appealing. But let’s look a little closer to see if it’s something you should consider to help you lose weight.

Key Ingredients Used

White horehound – Found in traditional lozenge candies, it has been used to aid digestion, soothe sore throats, and relieve inflammation. Some have used it to fight colds and flus, and it has also been used to treat asthma and diabetes in Mexico. But it does not promote weight loss.

Tepozan – A common Mexican herb, there is little information available concerning Tepozan, and there is nothing suggesting it has any benefits including weight loss

Papaya seed – Reported to clear out intestinal parasites, it also provides a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. But it does not promote weight loss.

Tejocote leaves – Another name for the Mexican hawthorn, it can resemble a crab apple. It has been used as a diuretic and a remedy for diarrhea. It has also been used to treat coughing and several heart conditions. But it has not been used to promote weight loss results.

Are the Neopil Caps Effective?

The ingredients in Neopil Caps have been researched in certain ways. But they have not been shown to promote weight loss results. Most of them are rich in healthy vitamins, minerals, and sometimes fibers. But you can match these results by eating an apple, orange, or another common fruit on a daily basis.

Conclusion

I can say one thing for Neopil Caps, they are pretty safe. But the first priority of a diet pill is not to be safe. It’s nice. But first and foremost, a diet pill should be effective. If a diet pill doesn’t do this, I really don’t care about the rest. And without a single clinically proven ingredient, I don’t have a single moment of pause before saying avoid Neopil Caps at all costs. They are a waste of money.

HCG Platinum Maintain

Does HCG Platinum Maintain Really Work?

HCG Platinum Maintain is the second part of a line of products capitalizing on the HCG market. Yes, people are losing weight with HCG. But who can really afford to take it! They literally charge you HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS EVERY SINGLE MONTH! The average American makes $40,000 a year. The average HCG user……..you can do the math. HCG Platinum Maintain and products like it just provide a “low cost alternative.” But let’s take a look at the ingredients.

Key Ingredients Used

L-ornithine-Considered to be an essential amino acid, this feeds the muscles and aids the body in maintaining them. When used properly, it can enhance workouts.

L-arginine-A precursor for nitric oxide, l-arginine can treat erectile dysfunction while also enhancing workouts and reducing healing time of injuries.

L-phenylalanine-Found in the breast milk of animals, this promotes analgesic and antidepressant benefits. It is a direct precursor to phenylethylamine, a natural mood lifter, and it is a commonly used essential amino acid.

Caffeine-Caffeine is the most popular fat burner currently used. It can increase body temperature and energy to eliminate excess fat and improve workouts.

L-theanine-L-theanine has been used to improve the immune system while also showing psychoactive properties, reducing mental and physical stress and improving mood.

Conclusion

If we were to assess HCG Platinum Maintain based solely on the ingredients, they have clinically proven fat burners and supplements that can enhance workouts. It’s not exactly the HCG supplement they describe. But who would’ve figured, that’s actually a good thing! Why?

Because the HCG Diet is a scam. Logically, you would lose weight incredibly fast with a 500 calorie diet, because you are starving yourself. But when you actually inject yourself with HCG, you end up limiting yourself to 1 pound per day or less for a few short weeks! Does that really sound appealing to you?

HCG Platinum Maintain on the other hand has a formula made up of ingredients that have nothing to do with HCG. But while they could promote weight loss when used properly, HCG Platinum Maintain does not use anything close to the clinically proven amounts, diluting them with the advertising magic of homeopathic medicine. So you end up in the same place: up a creek without a weight loss paddle.

HCG Platinum Meal Replacement Drink

Does HCG Platinum Meal Replacement Drink Really Work?

HCG Platinum Meal Replacement Drink is the “professional grade product that is trusted by doctors and clinics nationwide.” But it sells in GNC stores, claiming to help you to get the best possible way to lose up to a pound a day with the revolutionary pregnancy hormone now used by Carmen Electra. But wait, we heard that Carmen Electra was using NV….before it was shut down. It’s therefore possible that HCG Platinum Meal Replacement Drink could face the same fate, isn’t it? Let’s see what the ingredients tell us.

Key Ingredients Used

HCG(Human Chorionic Gonadotropin)-the HCG hormone has been used by some to lose weight by activating the “pregnancy” response. Unfortunately, studies have never demonstrated definable weight loss results, and advertisers can’t even nail down a solid set of benefits associated with it.

L-arginine-This has been used to create HGH, a growth hormone that has actually been proven to promote weight loss! We wonder why they wouldn’t take this route instead.

Acetyl-l-carnitine-a natural amino acid, some have called this a cure for cellulite, a nutritional supplement, and more. But it has never been proven to do any of these things.

L-ornithine-A basic amino acid, this has been used to protect the muscles and therefore enhance metabolism. But it has never been proven to promote weight loss results.

Conclusion

HCG Platinum Meal Replacement Drink may give you a full 8oz drink, and water can suppress appetite on its own. But from their own description, we’ve found that they do not use substantial amounts of any one ingredient. They use a process called “homeopathy”, and as far as we can tell, all you get is water.

But even if you were getting real HCG, it’s a joke anyway. Pregnant women gain weight, and the only reason that people lose weight with any HCG diet is because they are only eating a mere 500 calories per day.

Kalor Block

Kalor Block is pushed as the ultimate European weight loss secret that you didn’t know about. They talk about melting away your fat and redefining your body for the formula that will blow away all past expectations. But the way we figure it, if you really have to ask whether this product works or not, the answer is right in front of you. You just have to ask yourself just 3 basic questions.

#1: When was the last time you lost weight without diet and exercise?

It’s possible to lose a little bit of weight with just diet, though it never lasts. It’s also possible to lose weight with “just exercise” if you consider the fact that seasoned athletes probably eat about 5000 calories a day or more just to maintain their current weight. But realistically, there’s no magic pill, not even Kalor Block, that can negate the need for at least one of these important factors.

#2: If there were a European miracle pill, why wouldn’t it be a prescription?

Companies like to make money, and despite what they might have you thinking right now, they make the most money on prescriptions. Yes, they pay millions of dollars for FDA approved clinical trials, and they have to bring it before a board, risking all of that money. But if they had something that miraculous, at least one company would be willing to do what had to be done to control the substance and make the greatest possible profit off of it.

#3: Why would you buy a product without knowing anything about it?

They don’t give you an ingredients list. Actually, they don’t list even 1 “key ingredient.” The way we figure it, you should have all of the information you need at your fingertips before buying any diet pill. You may not look at the studies, the ingredients, or the amounts. But all of this information should be available. They don’t provide it, because they know that their diet pill doesn’t have any clinically proven ingredients like green tea, African Mango, or citrus aurantium.

Possible Complications

Our assumption is that their ingredients are most likely fillers that may cause stomach upset and sometimes allergic reactions. But considering the fact that we don’t really know what they use, this product could cause any number of problems.

Conclusion

Kalor Block is a relatively small product at the moment, and we suspect that it will stay that way. What we know for sure is that Kalor Block is not capable of promoting real weight loss results. It does not have the clinically proven ingredients, the clinically proven amounts, or anything else that you might normally imagine from a diet pill.

Thermadril

Does Thermadril Really Work?

Thermadril, what can we say about it. At first, we thought it must be a typo. We mistook it for a product called Thermadrol. But while the names are similar, they are two separate products. Created by NiGen BioTech, we have no problem telling you right of the bat that we do not trust this company, and really we’re quite sick of them and companies like theirs.

Legacy of Failure

We’ve reviewed hundreds of different diet pills, and there are a few like Thermadril that have one thing in common: they fail and they do their best to hide it. In fact, they go to extremes to try to keep you out of the loop. They do not name even the so called “key ingredients.”

Regardless of what they may say, products like this have an overwhelming tendency to fail to provide results while still causing a number of potentially serious side effects. We have yet to find any consumer reviews on this product for the simple fact that nobody’s used it yet! It’s still relatively new, and we doubt its sales will last, if there are any sales at all.

Nigen BioTech

Nigen Biotech has 3 basic products: Thermadril, the HCG solution, and LipoDyne. We’ve been fairly disappointed with these products as they all follow the same patterns, not revealing any ingredients at all. They aren’t the first to do it, and they certainly won’t be the last. But to be honest, this company is unreliable.

Conclusion

We can go into a few basic facets of Thermadril. But we are really running out of things to say about it. After all, one of the major things that we look at and elaborate on is the ingredients. They don’t list any ingredients. So there’s really nothing to evaluate.

LipoDyne

Does LipoDyne Really Work?

Personally, I don’t spend half my life on a treadmill. I know one woman who does. She’s a stay at home mom, and products like LipoDyne do appeal to her. Her case is extremely unique. She has one of the worst genes I’ve ever seen, and she does not actually have a thyroid disorder or any other disease that would cause weight gain. She is currently a size 2, because she diets like no one I’ve ever seen before and exercises all day. But obviously, she is not your average dieter.

LipoDyne makes it sound like everybody is just like her, which is ridiculous. Most dieters can actually get results with a reasonable diet plan and 1 hour of cardio a day. But obviously, most of us would love a little extra help. And decreasing fat by an average of 14.6% in just a few weeks sounds pretty good, especially with LipoDyne, which uses a liquid delivery system instead of a pill.

Liquid Weight Loss

Companies have used liquid gel capsules, liquid energy drinks, and other liquids, ideally to promote faster delivery and therefore more efficient results. Most drinks rely partly on the fact that water acts as a natural appetite suppressant when you drink enough. But what about drops?

Drops are generally used in conjunction with what they call homeopathic medicine. But regardless of how much or how little they suggest that you use, the highest concentrations in any liquid supplement are comprised of one ingredient: water. Drops do not give you 8oz of water or for that matter 8 glasses of water, nor do they suggest that you combine this blend with that much water.

One thing that I can say is that drops do not promote weight loss. Drops cannot possibly provide the clinically proven concentrations of any active ingredients, and drops do not provide the appetite suppressing benefits of greater amounts of water. But just for kicks, what are the ingredients?

Ingredients Used

LipoDyne does not list any ingredients. It’s an unfortunately fact associated with LipoDyne. But while makers say that it has been “clinically proven to decrease body fat by an average of 14.6% in a matter of weeks”, there are no studies that back this up, and obviously, no ingredients list means no clinically proven ingredients.

Conclusion

We are tired of products that expect you to take their word for it. We are sick and tired of products that advertise themselves as the “holy grail.” LipoDyne fails to provide the most basic details, and realistically, LipoDyne is just wasting your time.

Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate

Does Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate Really Work?

Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate is one of 2 recently introduced Lipo 6 products claiming to cleanse, reprogram, and it supposedly gives you the “ultra-concentrated one pill only fat destroying complex.” It’s the “intelligent” fat burner with an advertising page that looks virtually identical to their Lipo 6 Black Ultra Concentrate product. Obviously, we would assume that the formula is different, specialized toward women. But let’s look at the Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate formula.

Key Ingredients Used

Rosemary-Rosemary has been used as a seasoning, an essential oil, an antibacterial, and many other things. But weight loss, pretty much no.

Resveratrol-We’ve seen the TV ads, the reports, etc, this is the “French paradox” all rolled into a nice little liquid supplement. Studies have shown that it’s more prevalent in grapes. But it passes through the body too quickly to actually be absorbed, and by the way, antioxidants don’t “cleanse.”

Lemon Oil-Lemon oil, let’s see. It has plenty of antioxidants, and plenty of people spread lemon oil across their face on a regular basis to brighten the skin and eliminate free radicals. Here, it’s supposed to “reprogram.” But there’s nothing we’ve heard of that would confirm this.

Squalene-This has been blamed by some for “Gulf war syndrome”, which is like living downwind from a toxic dump. It supposedly causes cancer, breathing problems, joint issues, you name it. Most use it as a moisturizer. But internally, it’s never even been tested, let alone proven to do anything.

Cypress oil-Internally, we’re not really sure. Topically, this essential oil has been used as an antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal, and moisturizer. But it’s never been used for any variation of fat burning.

Menthol-Used mostly for its taste and scent, this is best known for its role in cigarettes. It has a peppermint like taste, and it has actually been used to soothe a sore throat. Some people use cigarettes instead of food, losing weight. But do menthol cigarettes actually promote weight loss, nope.

Caffeine anhydrous-Caffeine anhydrous is a potent and concentrated form of caffeine, making up one of the most popular thermogenic fat burners in the industry. But it requires at least 400mg. With a 270.6mg proprietary blend, you do the math.

Geranamine-This is actually on the prohibited list of the World Anti-Doping agency. Go figure right. So if you’re a serious athlete, stay away. Athletes have lost their medals because of this. It’s mostly a nasal decongestant that they think is similar to ephedrine.

Advantra-Z-Similar to ephedrine, this burns fat, suppresses appetite, and enhances energy. But it requires 250mg. It’s in the same blend as caffeine. So you can figure it out.

Yohimbine HCL-Yohimbine is an aphrodisiac we’ve seen in both prescription and natural applications. It’s meant to treat ED in men. What about that is appealing to women? It is better known for its side effects like heart attack, stroke, and renal failure.

3,5 Diiodo-L-Thyronine-A common thyroid hormone, this is meant for healthy thyroids. But unless you have a seriously defective thyroid, it doesn’t really make a noticeable difference in your weight.

Conclusion

We like to blame our weight on our bodies, especially when we’re women. It’s actually harder for women to lose weight, they’ve proven it. Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate isn’t the first, and they certainly won’t be the last to capitalize on this. But with no female specific ingredients, a male aphrodisiac, and really no weight loss capabilities, even using an illegal substance, what can we really say for Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate? The only thing we can really say is that Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate doesn’t work.
