Does Anadrox Really Work?
Created by MHP and sold on sites like bodybuilding.com, Anadrox has been sold as the ultimate nitric oxide fat burner with proven ingredients. They claim that it will help you to get the first supplement that will give you a powerful surge of the right stuff, finally pushing your body beyond its normal limitations by all definitions.
They talk about ingredients like arginine, claiming that it will finally make the difference you are looking for. But the question is, does it actually work this way. What are the ingredients?
L-arginine HCL-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Citrulline malate-said to increase NO production or nitric oxide production, they are proposing this ingredient as a replacement in muscle building and energy for the well known and accepted creatine. However, clinical studies are still deciding
L-tyrosine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Vanadyl sulfate-a form of vanadium, vanadyl sulfate has been used to address problems such as for example diabetes as well as bodybuilding. However, it’s most common use has been to build muscles and facilitate that process.
Choline dihydrogen citrate-a water soluble essential nutrient, this was chemically synthesized in 1866 after being discovered in 1864. But it has never been connected to weight loss.
Banaba leaf-banaba leaf extract has been shown to regulate blood sugar and blood glucose levels, helping you to reduce cravings and avoid crashes. But it does not necessarily promote weight loss
N-acetyl cysteine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Taurine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Advantra-Z-a patented form of the ever popular synephrine, this has been proposed to be an effective alternative to ephedrine without the side effects, in part because it uses the cousin of ephedra.
N-methyltyramine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Hordenine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Octopamine-a natural fat releaser, this has been known to induce cells to open up and release fat. However, other cells immediately reabsorb that fat, making it completely useless when it comes to weight loss.
DL-Phenylalanine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Kelp-a natural seaweed, it can help you to create a thermogenic effect in the body. However, the studies are still questionable all being conducted by the same lab and researchers and only on rats. Still, with other strong ingredients, it could be potentially helpful.
Guggulsterones-guggul is an ayurvedic herb that has been used for thyroid health because of its high iodine levels. However, if the thyroid is healthy, it won’t make a huge difference in terms of metabolism, and if it’s not, you should be seeking medical attention. Guggul in the right way can also promote the building of lean muscle mass.
Green tea-a thermogenic form of caffeine, it is also rich in antioxidants like EGCG. However, one should keep in mind that it requires at least 400mg of 50% caffeine considering the fact that caffeine is the actual fat burning component
Guarana-used as a natural energy supplement, it is not effective in actually promoting weight loss without both damiana and yerba mate
HOPS extract-a natural sleep aid and relaxant standing for humulus lupus, this does not promote weight loss
Turmeric-a natural herb and flavorant in Ayurvedic medicine, it has never been connected to or associated with weight loss
Quercitin-it has been used as a powerful antioxidant and anti inflammatory. But it does not promote weight loss.
Hesperidin-often found in citrus fruits, this flavanoid does not promote weight loss.
Bioperine-used to enhance the absorption of other ingredients, this patented ingredient known as black pepper has been popularly used for that purpose.
We would not recommend this product. It has quite a few ingredients listed as active ingredients that actually have nothing to do with weight loss, and they have not explained another potential purpose for the supplement in general. So for obvious reasons, we would recommend that you find something else.
