Does Detox 7 Really Work?

This digestive cleaner, known as Detox 7, can be bought anywhere, including your local drugstore. This product is a two step program that runs over a period of 7 days. Included in each box of Detox 7 are 7 multi fiber packets as well as 30 capsules that were created to completely cleanse and flush out your system. Creators of this product claim that Detox 7 can completely cleanse the body but also provide energy to the body to promote weight loss. The main ingredient included in Detox 7 is fiber, hence the fiber packets that they give you. So what are the ingredients?

Fiber-a generic name for a grouping of ingredients, there are actually two types of fiber, both soluble and insoluble, and ultimately they do completely different things. But fibers, unless you are talking about one in particular called glucomannan, do not promote weight loss

Dandelion Root and Leaf Extract-a natural detoxifier, if used on its own, it is generally nothing more than a diuretic, which can be harmful rather than helpful. But if used correctly in combination with the right cleaners in general, it can have a healthy detoxifying effect on the body.

Burdock Root Extract-it works as a diuretic, a diaphoretic, and a blood purifying agent

Licorice Root Extract-it has been known to soothe an upset stomach and alleviate diarrhea. But it does not actually promote weight loss.

Oregon Grape Bark Extract-a natural fruit rich in vitamins and powerful antioxidants, this does not actually promote any weight loss results or cleansing

Yarrow Aerial Parts Extract-a natural herb that can be used for some digestive issues and otherwise, this does not actually promote weight loss

Garlic Bulb Extract-known to be good for heart health and preventing atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and improving the immune system, it can also prevent the development of some cancerous cells.

Prickly Ash Seed Extract-it has been used for upset stomachs, sore throats, aching muscles, skin infections, and various other conditions, but not for weight loss or cleansing

Red Clover Herb Extract-a blood purifier, it also promotes healthier and brighter skin

Milk Thistle Seed Extract-a natural detoxifier, if used on its own, it is generally nothing more than a diuretic, which can be harmful rather than helpful. But if used correctly in combination with the right cleaners in general, it can have a healthy detoxifying effect on the body.

Alfalfa-a superfood, it has been shown to increase peristalsis of the bowels and purify the blood

Psylium Seed Husks-a natural fiber that has been known to improve and maintain regularity. It has also shown promise in lowering bad cholesterol levels and improving GI function.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus-a good bacteria, this has been known to balance out the digestive system and therefore help people to fight certain digestive issues.

Lactobacillus Bulgaricus-a good bacteria, this has been known to balance out the digestive system and therefore help people to fight certain digestive issues.

Marshmallow Root-known to soothe the stomach, this does not promote weight loss. However, with a good cleansing formula, it can be useful.

Barley Grass-a superfood derived from the annual grass hordeum vulgare, barley has been a major feed cereal crop. It has of course been used in beers. But it has been studied and shown to promote greater benefits in certain ways and in health in general with high levels of fiber

Spirulina-a dietary supplement, it is rich in protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and specifically B12 as well as essential minerals. It has been shown to correct anemia in some as well as lowering cholesterol and significantly reduce low density lipoprotein. But it hasn’t really been connected to weight loss.

Chlorella-coming from algae and the coloring, this can be essential in many processes and can be found in many plants. However, it does not actually promote weight loss or cleansing benefits.

Wheat Grass-often used in health food stores, wheatgrass has been known for many things. It is a common vegetable that happens in this case to be used for detoxification of the body, and it’s rich in essential vitamins and other nutrients

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss

Stevia Leaf-a natural sweetener and a calorie free sweetener, these types of sweeteners have been known to actually contribute to obesity because despite their lack of calories, they cannot be properly digested by the body and they trick the body into associating the sweet tastes with fewer calories in all foods

Slippery Elm Bark-it has been used for healing wounds, boils, ulcers, burns, and skin inflammation. It has been used orally for coughs, sore throats, diarrhea, and stomach problems.

Echinacea Angustifolia Root Extract-improving immune function, it has been shown as an immunostimulator. But it has never been really connected to weight loss

Shepard’s Purse Herb-a natural herb, this has certain benefits for the body at large as well as certain essential nutrients. However, it does not actually have weight loss properties.

Wild Yam Root-it has been used to relieve menopausal symptoms in women, making it useful for a female supplement.

Kelp Powder Fucus Vesiculosus-a natural seaweed, it can help you to create a thermogenic effect in the body. However, the studies are still questionable all being conducted by the same lab and researchers and only on rats. Still, with other strong ingredients, it could be potentially helpful.

Prune Powder Prunus Domestica-a natural fruit rich in vitamins and powerful antioxidants, this does not actually promote any weight loss results or cleansing

Grape Seed Extract-a natural fruit rich in vitamins and powerful antioxidants, this does not actually promote any weight loss results or cleansing

There really isn’t anything about this product that makes it stand out among other cleansing systems, and there is nothing spectacular about the ingredients list. The fact that there is no research about this product to be found and that they don’t have an official website makes them a lot less credible. We recommend trying a different product that provides all the information you need so you aren’t completely in the dark about a product.
