Does Hydroxycut Really Work?

Hydroxycut has always been a popular brand of products. They were first introduced in the times of ephedra, and ephedra was popular at that time. They capitalized on this and made quite a bit of money. And then of course, ephedrine was banned, and they scrambled to find another replacement. To their credit, when ephedrine came back in doses too small to actually promote any weight loss results, they did not jump back on the bandwagon. They stayed clear of that as far as we know.

But what about the new Hydroxycut?

However, this is not to say that Hydroxycut is better. Ever since then, Hydroxycut has showed the perpetual problem of not showing any results. Of course, there is no one ingredients list for Hydroxycut products in general. But like so many others, they never actually found anything that could really replace ephedrine, and frankly speaking they weren’t willing to invest the time or money to even spend enough money to get the right amounts of ingredients like green tea for example that could actually produce results. It’s all about maximum profit margins for something that doesn’t actually come through.

Hydroxycut Ban

This being said, in January of 2009, 14 major Hydroxycut products were recalled and basically speaking banned. There were multiple reports of serious problems with liver damage and even liver failure leading to a boy that many reports say was between the ages of 18 and 21 depending on which you read. Either way, we know he was extremely too young, and considering liver failure to that degree literally takes years to build up even with hardcore drinking habits, obviously there was a serious problem.

Hydroxycut Conclusion

This being said, some of those products have been reintroduced, or rather they have earned certain replacements. These replacements, though the name is still extremely tainted, tend to use rather safe ingredients. They use fruits for example. The problem is that these fruits don’t actually promote weight loss results, and in the end you end up with the real problem of just no results with Hydroxycut products.
