Does Jillian Michaels Extreme Maximum Strength Calorie Control Really Work?

The Jillian Michaels Extreme Maximum Strength Calorie Control formula claims that you can lose weight and achieve all the results you are looking for. They claim that it will help you to reduce your caloric intake and therefore lose weight with a high energy formula that fights fatigue. It sells through stores like GNC as well as outlets such as eBay, and apparently it gives you enough to have 2 metacaps in each serving. Of course, you should limit your caffeine intake as this formula is at least in part based on caffeine. What are the ingredients?
Ingredients Used
Yerba mate-used as a natural Brazilian energy supplement, it is not effective in promoting weight loss without both guarana and damiana.
Coffee bean extract-a natural caffeine extract, this has been known to be high in antioxidants as well. It requires about 400mg to promote weight loss.
Guarana-used as a natural energy supplement, it is not effective in actually promoting weight loss without both damiana and yerba mate
Cocoa seed extract-a natural derivative of chocolate, this is the antioxidant responsible for the many health benefits they describe. It can be used for a number of different benefits and could complement good weight loss ingredients
L-glutamine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
L-tyrosine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss
Damiana-used as a natural energy supplement, it is not effective in actually promoting weight loss without both guarana and yerba mate. However, it has been used in many female supplements, because it has been known to reduce cramping and other symptoms of PMS in general.
Ginger root powder-generally used to calm stomach upset, it does not necessarily directly control or promote weight loss.
White willow bark extract-white willow bark is basically speaking a derivative of salicylic acid, and it works as a natural aspirin to reduce inflammation and pain. But that is not weight loss, it is meant more to fight the potential side effects of things like caffeine
Conclusion
Like so many others, this formula is based on the Jillian Michaels name rather than a legitimate formula. Yes, some of the ingredients could potentially promote weight loss, for the most part by burning fat. But they don’t actually have any appetite suppressants, not fulfilling the main claim, and some of their ingredients aren’t even really related to weight loss. So we would recommend that you find something else.
