Does Sesamax Really Work?

Sesamax is a dietary supplement which claims its merits are derived from their formula which is based on sesame oil. The idea of using “good fats” as an n element in your weight loss goals you can build lean muscle mass while losing unnecessary fat. While this line of logical does have some validity, Sesamax does not. Their claims to increase fat oxidation, decrease fat storage, increase good cholesterol, decrease bad cholesterol, cut carbs all while also being an antioxidant and stimulant free are not generally associated with the known ingredients in their product. This leaves you a bit concerned about what might be hiding in this blend. So what are the actual ingredients?
Ingredients Used
Sesame oil-with an active component known as sesamin, this can actually potentially burn fat if you use the right amount. However, that would be well into the thousands of milligrams, which you won’t find in most products.
Omega 3-this can come from multiple sources such as fish, animals, and plants. No matter the source, omega fatty acids such as omega 3 have been known to improve good cholesterol levels, give you powerful antioxidants to fight bad cholesterol, and all in all create better balance in general to give you greater results in that way. However, this requires in the thousands, and unlike CLA for example, this particular good fatty acid does not actually promote any weight loss or other benefits.
EPA-an omega fatty acid, this good fat has been shown to promote greater heart health, but not weight loss.
DHA-an omega fatty acid, this good fat has been shown to promote greater heart health, but not weight loss.
Conclusion
To reiterate, there is no scientific support behind the claim that most of these ingredients in general have any relevance to weight loss. Sesame oil is rich in sesamin, which can burn small amounts of fat. But realistically, you would need the active component in higher concentrations, not just the more watered down version to actually get results. Other products operate under this false assumption so beware. At $34.95 a bottle it makes more sense to eat breath mints in an effort to lose weight. They are cheap and at least your breath with my fresh.
