Does Size 0 Really Work?

Size 0 promotes itself as a “scientific breakthrough.” In reality is just another weight loss and “beauty pill” marketing towards the wishful woman who doesn’t feel like doing any real research. At one point the consumer is even promised “shapely curves” which seems counterintuitive for a product claiming to take you to the very smallest size a person can be without visiting the children’s section.

Ingredients Used

Caffeine Anhydrous-a powerful form of caffeine, anhydrous means without water. It has been shown to produce a powerful thermogenic effect in the body if used in the right amounts. However, it also comes with the classic side effects of caffeine.

Green Tea Extract-a thermogenic form of caffeine, it is also rich in antioxidants like EGCG. However, one should keep in mind that it requires at least 400mg of 50% caffeine considering the fact that caffeine is the actual fat burning component

Yerba Mate Root Extract-used as a natural Brazilian energy supplement, it is not effective in promoting weight loss without both guarana and damiana.

Green Coffee Bean Extract-a natural caffeine extract, this has been known to be high in antioxidants as well. It requires about 400mg to promote weight loss.

Cordia Salicifolia Extract-cha de bugre is a Brazilian herb based on hype. They say it does quite a few things. But in all reality, cha de bugre has not been proven to promote any weight loss results.

Cocoa Extract-a natural derivative of chocolate, this is the antioxidant responsible for the many health benefits they describe. It can be used for a number of different benefits and could complement good weight loss ingredients

Taurine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss

Citrus Naringin-a derivative of the grapefruit, this is an active ingredient that can produce modest thermogenic effects if used in the right amounts.

Hoodia Gordonii-hoodia has been hyped in the media on news programs and Oprah. However, had they done any research at all, they would have known that hoodia has actually been disproven in every major study. They tried to patent a form. But being that the original never worked, it failed. And then the South African government made it illegal to export hoodia from South Africa in the first place, the only place in which hoodia gordonii actually grows.

Smiting Jojoba Seed Extract-an essential oil often used in skincare to moisturize skin, it does not promote weight loss

Griffonia simplicifolia Seed Extract-a natural mood lifter, this is better known as 5-HTP. However, it has no relation to weight loss.

Horsetail Leaf Extract-often used to improve the condition of the skin, hair, and nails, it does not promote other general benefits

Hyaluronic Acid-an all natural moisturizer, this can help you to improve your skin when used externally, but not internally

Collagen-a common ingredient in some liquid diet supplements, collagen has been used commonly to repair skin, because it is a building block. In wrinkle creams, we have learned that the cells are too big to fit through pores and often end up clogging them. But even through internal delivery, it has no proven application to weight loss.

Choline-a water soluble essential nutrient, this was chemically synthesized in 1866 after being discovered in 1864. But it has never been connected to weight loss.

Inositol-used in some ways to address things like clinical depression, it has been shown to reduce the symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder. However, it has not actually been shown to promote weight loss.

Biotin-an essential B vitamin, this has been known to give some extra energy. However, it does not promote weight loss

L-Cysteine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss

L-Methionine-a natural amino acid, this has been used to feed muscles, but not build them or promote weight loss

Coenzyme Q10-a natural antioxidant that is good for the skin and heart, coenzyme Q10 does not promote weight loss

Chamomile Flower Leaf Extract-a natural sleep aid and relaxant, it does not actually promote weight loss

Chaste Tree Berry-promoting greater fertility in women, this has been proven to naturally fight things like PMS and polycystic syndrome. However, it does not actually promote weight loss.

Dong Quai Root-a natural herb meant to help you to promote hormonal balance and help to keep estrogen and progesterone levels in the normal range

Vitex Angus Castus-promoting greater fertility in women, this has been proven to naturally fight things like PMS and polycystic syndrome. However, it does not actually promote weight loss.

Conclusion

There are some known weight loss aids in the extensive list above there is no real data to support this product’s blend. While this product may yield mediocre results it is blatantly attempted to profit by perpetuating the bad body image stigma that is all too rampant in the U.S. today. This product is not recommended.
