Does The French Don’t Diet Plan Really Work?

The French Don’t Diet Plan

I’ve heard of “French Women Don’t Get Fat”, which focuses on the idea that you can eat whatever you want, as long as you focus on smaller portion sizes. The French Don’t Diet Plan on the other hand focuses on the idea that French people are skinny, because French people eat “real food” instead of the processed junk Americans are so focused on.

While French people eat plenty of fatty foods as we all know (and plenty of that is butter and other processed foods), Dr. Will Clower claims that all French don’t actually eat processed, fatty, or carb filled meals or for that matte rush through meals. Only one part of that is actually true. French people do traditionally take longer lunches.

Does The French Don’t Diet Plan Work?

Despite the fact that some of the advertising is blatantly false, the ideas behind the The French Don’t Diet Plan are good. There are many diets under many name encouraging people to cut out fatty, carb filled, and processed foods, and other unhealthy foods, instead focusing on fruits, vegetables, etc. There are plenty of diets that encourage you to do what you have to do (eat slower in this case) to eat less and cut your calories. Dr. Clowers just puts it under a “French” name. But that’s not all there is to The French Don’t Diet Plan.

Unconventional Advice

The French Don’t Diet Plan also focuses on a few more things that seem to me to be a bit nit picky. It focuses on certain specific foods, not all fruits and vegetables, and it actually tells you to make sure that your lunches are 30 minutes or longer. That’s a little excessive, and most people don’t need that long to eat less. But it is still relatively healthy, also focusing on exercise.

Exercise & The French Don’t Diet Plan

This is where The French Don’t Diet Plan really gets it right. The French Don’t Diet Plan focuses on exercise, because the French are actually more active. Most French people walk to and from work, the metro, or otherwise spend more time on their feet, which is a big part of why French people are actually healthier.

Conclusion

The French Don’t Diet Plan is on the right path. It incorporates diet, exercise, and healthy living, and even though it is not actually entirely in sync with the way the French live, it is right. Focusing on natural and healthy foods, exercising more frequently, and focus on a whole lifestyle change will help you to lose weight.
