Does Thermoloid Really Work?

Thermoloid seems to have been developed with the idea of more is more in mind. There are 16 ingredients in all each with its own unique application in weight loss. It comes across a bit muddled at first, almost as if the manufacturer couldn’t decide what weight loss technology to implement and therefore threw them all together. This seems like a great idea but could potentially end up negating itself.
Ingredients Used
Green tea leaf extracts-a thermogenic form of caffeine, it is also rich in antioxidants like EGCG. However, one should keep in mind that it requires at least 400mg of 50% caffeine considering the fact that caffeine is the actual fat burning component
Caffeine anhydrous-a powerful form of caffeine, anhydrous means without water. It has been shown to produce a powerful thermogenic effect in the body if used in the right amounts. However, it also comes with the classic side effects of caffeine.
Guarana powder extract-used as a natural energy supplement, it is not effective in actually promoting weight loss without both damiana and yerba mate
Theobromine-a combination between the derivative of chocolate and caffeine, theobromine can give you antioxidant and caffeine related thermogenic fat burning effects at the same time, much like green tea. It requires about 400mg to work
Citrus aurantium extract-a formula including the active ingredient known as synephrine, this has been pushed as the alternative to ma huang. However, in this diluted form, you don’t necessarily get the powerful effects you are looking for. It would depend in part on the concentration of synephrine actually in the ingredient listing
White willow bark extract-white willow bark is basically speaking a derivative of salicylic acid, and it works as a natural aspirin to reduce inflammation and pain. But that is not weight loss, it is meant more to fight the potential side effects of things like caffeine
L-carnitine-a natural amino acid, there are many different ideas and advertisements about this. But it has not actually been proven to promote weight loss.
Alpha lipoic acid-a natural antioxidant, this has properties that benefit the skin, but not weight loss
Guggulsterones-guggul is an ayurvedic herb that has been used for thyroid health because of its high iodine levels. However, if the thyroid is healthy, it won’t make a huge difference in terms of metabolism, and if it’s not, you should be seeking medical attention. Guggul in the right way can also promote the building of lean muscle mass.
Bioperine-used to enhance the absorption of other ingredients, this patented ingredient known as black pepper has been popularly used for that purpose.
White kidney bean extract-an extract of the white kidney bean, phaseolus vulgaris has been known to block the absorption of a certain percentage of carbs. However, the clinical studies have not yet caught up.
Chitosan-coming from crustaceans, this can block a certain amount of fat content from your body’s absorption. But it is measured in percentages and fairly questionable
Hoodia gordonii-hoodia has been hyped in the media on news programs and Oprah. However, had they done any research at all, they would have known that hoodia has actually been disproven in every major study. They tried to patent a form. But being that the original never worked, it failed. And then the South African government made it illegal to export hoodia from South Africa in the first place, the only place in which hoodia gordonii actually grows.
CLA-this requires about 4500mg or more to have an effect. But in that amount, it can build lean muscle mass and burn fat. Unfortunately, even with that amount, it only promotes an extra 2 pounds per year of weight loss.
Cha de bugre-cha de bugre is a Brazilian herb based on hype. They say it does quite a few things. But in all reality, cha de bugre has not been proven to promote any weight loss results.
Evodia extract-among the best known stimulant free fat burners, evodiamine has been shown to promote weight loss with moderate diet, but it does not require extreme or severe changes
White willow extract-white willow bark is basically speaking a derivative of salicylic acid, and it works as a natural aspirin to reduce inflammation and pain. But that is not weight loss, it is meant more to fight the potential side effects of things like caffeine
Conclusion
We have our concerns about the power of Thermoloid as a Fat/Carb Blocker. Most of the ingredients are mild at best. However, Thermoloid does appear to be a well developed fat burner. The creators have obviously taken care to find the right components to facilitate weight loss. While it might not be all that it claims, it does have merit, and can be found for as low as $17 a bottle.
